Hi friends,
Below are some updates.
Website - Up to this point, this collection of articles has been the main landing page for The Shepherd’s Refuge. This will now be a section of the main site. The main site is now launched and you can check it out by clicking here: www.theshepherdsrefuge.com
Fundraising - I have not yet initiated a widespread fundraising campaign, but fundraising is a reality for ministries like The Shepherd’s Refuge. This is vital work. I suspected it was necessary work a year ago, but as I have met with pastors over the last months, it’s obvious that the state of pastoring is in deeper trouble than even I suspected.
So if you’d like to help address this issue, you can make a one-time donation or become a monthly partner. Please visit this page to make these arrangements: https://gcfcanada.com/projects/the-shepherds-refuge
Interview - I did a podcast interview a couple of weeks ago that was released this morning. You can listen on Apple Podcasts (here) or Spotify (here) or use the player below.
Design - I met with a graphic designer last week. Here’s what’s in the pipeline:
1. I’m having him tweak the logo for clarity and originality. I see it as a sword and shield but others have seen it as a lighthouse (which still works), and one person saw it as a crystal ball on a table (which definitely does not work)! Let me know what you thought it was.
2. He will also design and create new business cards, a general-purpose brochure, monthly partner/donation cards, and a TSR-branded journal - all with the updated logo design.
3. Once these materials are ready, I’ll be working with the good folks at Radiant to create components for a display booth that I can set up at conferences and churches where I’ll be speaking.
Thanks, everyone.

Many pastors lead without friends, confidantes, mentors or counsellors. This is not a recipe for health! Pastoring can indeed be lonely, but you don’t have to lead alone. Let’s talk. You can reach me by email at michael@theshepherdsrefuge.com or by clicking the button below.
If you’re reading this and you’re not a pastor, would you please consider sharing this post with a pastor you know?
